Swara Bhasker 'Salutes' Indian Armed Forces for striking terror camps in Pakistan

The country avenged the death of the 40 CPRF Jawans who have lost their lives in the Pulwama Terror Attack. On Tuesday, the Indian Air Force showed its power on the battlefield by demolishing Pakistan terror bases that backed the terrorist activity.

Statement by Foreign Secretary on February 26, 2019, confirm that the camp in Balakot India struck today was the one was one of the biggest JeM training camps and over 200 terrorists were executed. 

Following the same, several Indian celebrities took to social media to congratulate and pay respect to the Indian Air Force, who accomplished the mission risking their lives to avenge our martyrs. Bollywood actress Swara Bhasker also penned a note on Twitter extending her support to the move. In the post, she wrote, "Salute to our armed forces. Jai Hind."

Indian celebrities across domains were furious and vented their anger out on social media after a number of soldiers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were martyred in the terrorist attack that took place in Jammu Kashmir’s Pulwama district twelve days back. Several Bollywood actors including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Priyanka Chopra, Anupam Kher, and Preity Zinta among others had expressed their shock and outrage over the incident. 

40 CRPF Jawans lost their lives as the convoy they were traveling in, on the Jammu-Srinagar highway, was attacked by a suicide bomber in an explosives-laden car. The Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad has claimed responsibility for what has become the worst terror attack on the forces in many decades, drawing condemnation from across the world.

However, India woke up the news of revenge on Tuesday, February 26, as the Indian government announced the success of the second surgical strike on Pakistan based terrorist camps following the one in 2016. The Indian Air Force struck and destroyed Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camps across the Line of Control in a pre-dawn operation on Tuesday, February 26. As per sources, the strike, carried out by 12 of the IAF's Mirage 2000 fighters, lasted up to 21 minutes and was carried out at three locations.

In the days following the attack, the Indian government, including the Prime Minister and the Home Minister, have made clear that the Armed Forces had been given a free rein to avenge the attack.  As per media reports, six bombs were dropped on the terrorist camps by the Indian Air Force Mirage 2000s.
