Telegu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday took a jibe at the YSRCP government for replacing the national flag tricolor pattern on a government building with YSRCP colours. Naidu took to Twitter and stated that the CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led government should apologise for this shocking and abominable act of replacing tricolor.

The national general secretary of the TDP, Nara Lokesh, also took to his Twitter and lashed out at Reddy for the lack of respect towards the National Flag.

"This is the patriotism of the leaders of YSRCP and our respect for our flag. The YSRCP is also painting the flag for the National Flag, which will fly the flag of YSRCP tomorrow. No matter how graveyards fall, at least respect the national flag," tweeted Lokesh.

BJP condemns the act

The National Flag was painted by a village secretariat in Anantapuram district. The painting did not go well with the BJP as Lanka Dinakar, a BJP spokesperson told ANI:

"So far, we have seen YSRCP colours painted on buildings, school, graveyards, village secretariats. It is the first time we have seen that they are not hesitating to change the colours of National Flag that existed on a government structure. These regional parties of the dynasty nature have no national interest, nor any respect for the colours of the flag. It gets proved after observing the incident of changing the colours of a building that has national flag colours, with their party colors."
