Three Indian soldiers martyred in Sunderbani encounter; two Pakistani intruders gunned down

Three Indian Army soldiers attain martyrdom in a fierce encounter with the Pakistan intruders along the Line of Control in the Sunderbani sector on Sunday afternoon.

Three Indian Army soldiers attain martyrdom in a fierce encounter with the Pakistan intruders along the Line of Control in the Sunderbani sector on Sunday at 1:45 PM. During the encounter, Indian Army soldiers also gunned down three Pakistani intruders after which they recovered warlike stores, including two AK-47 rifles from them.

It has also been reported that one Indian soldier had suffered severe injuries after which he was air-evacuated to the Army Command Hospital from Sunderbani to Udhampur. According to sources, his condition is stable now. The Cordon and Search operation is still under progress by the Indian Armed forces. 

This development has come hours after the Indian army gunned down three terrorists on Sunday morning, during the Cordon and Search Operation launched in Larro village in the Kulgam district of South Kashmir. The operation took an unexpected turn leading to an encounter between the Indian army and the terrorists. Further, the reports revealed that two civilians had also died and a number of them suffered injuries during the police encounter.

Days before this encounter between Pakistani intruders and Indian Army, Pakistan rangers had resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation along the international border in Arnia sector in Jammu-Kashmir. Heavy firing took place in the Chamblyal area after which the BSF retaliated effectively to the firing. As per sources, several BSF positions were also targeted during the attack in Chamblyal area. On October 18,  the Indian army foiled an infiltration bid along the Line of Control (LoC) in Uri sector of Jammu and Kashmir, according to officials. Alert troops noticed some suspicious movement along the LoC near Tourna in Boniyar area in the early hours of Thursday and challenged the infiltrators with an immediate attack. The infiltrators opened firing at the security forces which was retaliated by the soldiers, the officials said.
