Two suspected ISI agents arrested in a Nagpur, certain materials from their residence seized

The joint operation was carried out by the Military intelligence along with Mumbai special team and Anti-terrorist cell of Pune city special branch. Some materials were also seized from their residence.

Two suspected ISI agents were detained from Nagpur's Bhaldarpura area on Saturday. The duo was allegedly planning to target sensitive spots in the city by providing logistic help. The joint operation was carried out by the Military intelligence along with Mumbai special team and Anti-terrorist cell of Pune city special branch. Some materials were also seized from their residence. At the time of publishing, the raids and search operation is still ongoing in Nagpur.

SPI of Ganesh Peth Police Station, Nagpur told Republic TV:

"Initial report is that Some officers from the central agency have detained some person from Bhaldalpura area last night. They have taken these suspects along with them to an undisclosed location. They have not yet come to our police station. We have no idea for which offense they have been taken into custody".

As per the police, the operation was conducted in a highly secret manner. Even the teams of Military Intelligence and Mumbai ATC arrived in the city separately and chose a confidential location to plan out raid along with city police.

Earlier in October, a suspected ISI agent, Zahid was arrested in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The arrest was initiated after receiving inputs from the Intelligence Bureau, and the suspect is being further questioned. Apparently, foreign currency and electronic devices were recovered from the suspect, who was allegedly indulging in anti-national activities. 

A joint investigation is being processed by Uttar Pradesh police department and Central Security Agency to extract the exact details. The police managed to recover a number of SIM cards and other evidences against Zahid, suspected to have been working for the Pakistani Intelligence Agency, ISI
