Uttarakhand's COVID-19 tally rises to 401

Fifty-two more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Uttarakhand on Tuesday taking the total number of cases in the state to 401.

Fifty-two more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Uttarakhand on Tuesday taking the total number of cases in the state to 401. 

Of the latest cases, 14 each were detected in Pithoragarh and Tehri, ten in Nainital, six in Haridwar, three each in Almora and Dehradun and two in Udham Singh Nagar district, a state Health Department bulletin here said. 

Most of the new patients have a travel history to places outside the state, it said.

A nurse at a government hospital in Haridwar, four local labourers and a nine-year-old boy who had returned from Mumbai recently by train tested positive for COCVID-19 in the district.

Sixty-four out of a total of 401 COVID-19 patients have been discharged after recovery and there are 330 active cases in Uttarakhand, the bulletin said.
