This was done in order to enhance the development of the Hindu culture. Speaking to a news agency, the outfits have stated that the amendments would help in sustaining the Hindu tradition. The VHP further stated that there is a need for inculcating Hindu literature into the educational system of the country. The Hindu outfits have grouped under the banner of Hindu Charter Team. The Vishwa Hindu Parishad deliberations

Alok Kumar, the President of the VHP, held a day-long deliberation where the participants pointed out the overwhelming influence of foreign literature in the educational system. The VHP wants to inculcate the vast reserves of Hindi literature in order to prevent outside influences. As a consequence, they want to bring about changes in Articles 28, 29, and 30. Article 28 prohibits the majority community from propagating the knowledge of its ancient civilisation, culture, and traditions to the future generations. Article 29 assures protection of the interests of minorities, and Article 30 gives religious minorities the right to establish and administer educational institutions.

Ancient Hindi literature

Doctor Bharat Gupta, a retired Delhi University professor, has stated that Ramayana and Mahabharata even though hold such vast knowledge of the Indian culture, it is often neglected. Indian Educational systems further enforce English literature which only showcases the rich culture of the foreigners. The VHP has condemned the fragmentation of the society stating that Hindus should be able to run educational institutions without undue interference from the Government. According to the statement of the VHP, the team members have drafted a bill that aims to amend Articles 12, 15, 19, 25 to 30 and insert a new Article 12A. These changes will pave the way for conserving literary texts, further retaining the Hindu culture.
