On Friday, Congress President Rahul Gandhi visited Bhubaneswar in Odisha, where he kickstarted his party's campaign ahead of the crucial 2019 Lok Sabha polls. He was set to address a massive rally in Odisha's capital, but prior to that, he was part of an incident which has since then gone viral on social media.

While leaving from the Bhubaneswar airport, Rahul Gandhi was caught on camera lending a hand and checking in on an photographer who tripped while trying to take a photo of the Congress president.

In the video, the photographer can be seen trying to click a photo of Rahul Gandhi, before he lost his balance and fell down on the road. A number of people surrounding the Congress president noticed the fall, and came forward to help him. Though, it was Rahul Gandhi who rushed to pick him up, and then checked with him on his condition before making way from there.

Following this incident, Rahul Gandhi addressed a gathering at an event in which he continued his political attack against the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the much-awaited elections. The Congress president criticized the present government on a number of matters, and took a dig at them while comparing India's growth pace to China.

Though, during his speech, he provided his political opponents the ammunition to attack him when he revealed that during his Mansarovar Yatra, which he undertook in September 2018, he had a met a few of Chinese ministers and held talks with them.

"Automation bothers India, Europe but it does not seem to bother China, when I met two Chinese ministers during my Kasilash Mansarovar yatra they told job creation not a problem in China that they have plenty of jobs," the Congress presient said while speaking at 'The Odisha Dialogue Event'. 

Hours after his massive revelation, the BJP pounced on him and accused him of flouting rules over his secret meeting with the Chinese ministers. BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra, while addressing the media, attacked the Congress president not taking permission from the Indian authorities before the meet, and hit out at him for constantly praising China over India on a number of matters.
