Viral video exposes police brutality: 2 UP cops suspended for thrashing specially-abled

In a shocking incident of police brutality, a distressing video has gone viral on social media, capturing the heart-wrenching sight of two policemen mercilessly beating a specially-abled man. The incident took place late at night on July 29th or 30th in Deoria at Uttar Pradesh under the jurisdiction of the Rudrapur Police Station.

The victim, identified as Sachin Singh, was seated on his wheelchair when he asked the cop for water. In a deeply troubling turn of events, instead of showing compassion and assistance, the officers, identified as Abhishek Singh and Rajendra Mani, resorted to violence and assaulting Sachin without any apparent justification.

Following the video's circulation and widespread outrage, the Deoria police swiftly responded by suspending the two PRD (Provincial Armed Constabulary) jawans. An FIR (First Information Report) has also been lodged against them, based on the complaint filed.
