You won't believe which guilty pleasure Anand Mahindra gave in to as he celebrated his birthday

Business tycoon Anand Mahindra celebrated his birthday on May 1, Wednesday in a unique way this year. Even after being in New York for his birthday, the Chairman of Mahindra Ground could not control the 'desi' in him as he had a perfect dinner at an Indian restaurant in the United States. 

Taking to Twitter on Thursday, Anand Mahindra said that he visited his 'old haunt' Saravana Bhavan in New York for his birthday dinner, as he shared a selfie in front of the restaurant. Adding that the Desi in his just couldn't overcome, he revealed that he tried a popular cuisine from Kerala: Adai Avial, which is a traditional protein-rich breakfast dish from Kerala.

He further shared a picture of a mug with the picture of US President Donald Trump giving a thumbs up on it. The mug reads, "You are a great 64 year old. Maybe one of the best ever. Very special, very talented. Really terrific. Everyone agrees. Believe me." 

In the post, Anand Mahindra wrote, "This counts as one of the more hilarious birthday greeting cards I have received": 

Earlier on April 29, the business tycoon was in Mumbai to cast his vote in the fourth phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He posted a picture of his inked finger on his Twitter account, saying that "It’s a privilege to have been born & lived in a democratic nation."
