2 held for firing incident in Thane

Two people were arrested within six hours of a firing incident in Thane city, police said on Monday. Akshay Patil and one more person had met Dinesh Munde for a drink amid the lockdown at around 9 pm on Sunday, and after some altercation over Facebook posts, Patil fired some rounds at Munde, though the latter escaped unhurt, a Mumbra police station official said.

"Patil and his friend fled after nearby residents rushed to the spot. We arrested the two within six hours from near a theatre. Both were charged with attempt to murder," he added.
