The protestors have even given a memorandum to stop the show of film Manmarziyaan, and are, in particular, against scenes where  characters from the community are seen coming out of a Gurudwara and smoking.

This is the third Bollywood film in this year which has faced protest and threats in the state of Rajasthan. First, some sections of Rajput community protested against the Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film 'Padmavati' which was later named as 'Padmaavat'. The protest even went violent and then the film wasn't shown in some states of India including Rajasthan.

Outfits like Karni Sena were leading the protest against that film. Their logic behind those protests was that the film was distorting the history of Rajasthan.

Next is the protest against an upcoming film, against the Kangana Ranaut film 'Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi', which has been started in which many people came out and said that in this film, Rani Lakshmi Bai is been portrayed badly.

Although the star cast of that film and other people associated with it have cleared a number of times that there is no objectionable scene in the film Manikarnika which portrays the image of Rani Lakshmi Bai badly.

And now, members of the Sikh community have come out in Rajasthan to protest against the film Manmarziyaan in the state. They demanded not to show the Anurag Kashyap movie in the film theatres of Rajasthan. While protesting against the film they raised slogans like ‘Dharm ke khilaaf gundagardi nahi chalegi- nahi chalegi’ (Goondaism against faith won't be accepted)

After giving a memorandum to the Aadarsh Nagar police, the group of protestors demanded from the police officers that they should take some action against this movie and stop the shows of such a film. They claimed that this movie is hurting their religious sentiments and that is why it should be immediately removed from the movie theatres and multiplexes
