All set for his swearing-in, here is the Oath that PM Modi will take at Rashtrapati Bhawan as he begins his second term

The swearing-in ceremony will be of about 90 minutes and after that, a dinner will be served to around 40 dignitaries, including Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu and the prime minister, besides leaders of all BIMSTEC countries, Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson Ashok Malik said Wednesday. All eyes are however set on the oath-taking of Narendra Modi who will be the PM consecutively for the second time.

After a massive victory of the NDA by securing 353 Lok Sabha seats in 2019, PM Modi is all set to take oath along with 40 Member of Parliament (MP) who will be selected as Cabinet Ministers. As the day began, Prime Minister Modi paid tributes to the Father of the Nation - Mahatma Gandhi at Rajgath, to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Sadaiv Atal Samadhi. He also paid homage to the fallen heroes at the National War Memorial in New Delhi.

All eyes are however set on the oath-taking of Narendra Modi who will be the PM consecutively for the second time.

The Prime Minister and his cabinet will take the oath in the name of God to "bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution" and to "uphold the sovereignity and integrity of India" and to "do right to all manner of the people".

The third schedule of the Constitution of India mentions the form of oath of office for a minister for the Union. 

Here is the oath: 

I , Narendra Damodardas Modi do swear in the name of God that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution as established by the law established, that I will uphold the sovereignty and integrity of India, that I will faithfully and conscientiously discharge my duties as a Minister for the Union and that I will do right to all manner of the people in accordance with the Constitution and the law, without fear or favour, affection or ill-will. 

Apart from an oath of office, the Prime Minister and his newly formed cabinet will also take an oath of secrecy saying they "will not directly or indirectly communicate or reveal to any person or persons any matter" that they become privy to as Ministers. The third schedule of the Constitution of India also mentions the form of oath of secrecy for a minister for the Union.

I , __________ , do swear in the name of God that I will not directly or indirectly communicate or reveal to any person or persons any matter which shall be brought under my consideration or shall become known to me as a Minister for the union except as may be required for the due discharge of my duties as such Minister. 

As the Rashtrapati Bhavan's forecourt — the stately path between the main gates and the main building is being prepared to welcome as many as 8,000 guests, including VVIPs, for the oath-taking ceremony of PM Modi and his council of Ministers at the in the Rashtrapati Bhavan, Narendra Modi is met BJP chief Amit Shah several times reportedly regarding the allocation of berth for the upcoming cabinet.
