BJP issues three-line whip to Lok Sabha MPs for July 10, tells them to be present in Parliament

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has issued a three-line whip asking all the members of the Lok Sabha from the party to be present in the Parliament on July 10, citing that "very important Legislative Business will be taken for discussion."

The Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) has issued a three-line whip asking all the members of the Lok Sabha from the party to be present in the Parliament on July 10, citing that "very important Legislative Business will be taken for discussion." The whip also said that the presence of the leaders should be throughout the day and for the passing of important business the presence is required. 

Ealier, BJP Chief Whip Narayan Lal Panchariya on Saturday issued a 'three-line whip' to the party's Rajya Sabha MPs to be present in the house on July 8 and 9. The whip was  issued to gather support for the government's stand and vote for the bills it presents in the upper house of the Parliament.

On Wednesday there will be discussion on the Union Budget passed by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. It is speculated that there will be discussion on the increased rate of Petrol and diesel following the announcement of the Budget 2019. 

Here is the latest whip:

Eight bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha including The DNA Technology (Use and Application) Regulation Bill, 2019, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Amendment Bill, 2019, National Investigation Agency (Amendment) Bill, 2019, and Protection of Human Rights (Amendment) Bill, 2019. The Consumer Protection Bill, 2019, Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Amendment Bill, 2019, Jallianwala Bagh National Memorial (Amendment) Bill, 2019 and Central Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2019 on Monday.

Work to be undertaken by Lok Sabha includes questions entered in separate list to be asked and answers given and consideration of any item of Government Business entered in the Revised List of Business for Tuesday, July 9, 2019 and not concluded on that day.

The reserve list of July 9 includes the following: 

  • Papers will be laid by Home Minister Amit Shah, Narendra Singh Tomar for Ministry of Rural Development, Mansukh Lal Mandviya for Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Arjun Lal Meghwal for Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Krishna Pal for Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Kishan Reddy for Ministry of Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai for Home Ministry
  • Secretary General to report two messages from Rajya Sabha regarding the Aadhaar and Other Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2019 and the Dentists (Amendment) Bill, 2019.
  • Nityanand Rai to make a statement regarding the status of implementation of the further recommendations/ observations proposed by the Standing Committee on Home Affairs in respect of the Paras categorized in Chapters III and IV of the 216th Report of the Committee on the 'The Cyclone Ockhi - its impact on Fishermen and Damage caused by it' pertaining to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
