BJP's motormouth MLA Surendra Singh makes outrageous remark targeting Priyanka Gandhi, calls her "Shurpanakha" and Rahul Gandhi "Raavan"

BJP's motormouth MLA Surendra Singh, who is known for making outrageous statements, labelled Congress President Rahul Gandhi as 'Raavan' and his sister and Congress' General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh (UP) East Priyanka Gandhi as 'Surpanakha.' The BJP MLA from Ballia also said that the 'Congress is a sinking ship' and it managed to defeat the BJP in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh in the recently concluded Assembly polls because of 'SC/ST Act'. Singh stressed that the Congress has no political standing anymore and the party would not win anywhere else in the country.

"BJP MLA Surendra Singh: See, Congress is a sinking ship, they won Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh elections because of SC/ST act otherwise they cannot win anywhere. You know when Ram and Ravan started fighting, Raavana first sent his sister similarly Rahul has sent Priyanka Gandhi in the role of Shurpanakha. Our PM is Lord Rama and Rahul Gandhi is Raavana. Let's assume we have conquered Lanka", said Surendra Narayan Singh. 

"I am not saying Shurpanakha but if you see upcoming elections, Rahul Gandhi has sent Priyanka Gandhi like Raavan sent Shurpanakha. Rahul Gandhi has proved that he can fight elections on his own. Now, brother and sister will fight against PM Modi. No one can stand against PM Modi, the World is recognising Modi Ji. India is fortunate to have leaders like Modi Ji. There is no doubt that Modi Ji will win 2019 election. Elections are a formality and look at this circus. Is this a democracy? They only choose general secretary from family. Now they will field Robert Vadra. No one can become Gandhi Ji by simply using Gandhi as their title. People who live a lavish life, stay in Hotels, cannot protect our culture. People like Modi Ji and Yogi Ji can only save Indian culture", he added. 

Prior to this, Surendra Singh had said that Hindus will become a minority if there is "no balance" in population control. 

"Hindus should have at least five children. Two for the man, two for the woman and one surplus. Giving birth to a child is 'prasad' (gift) from God. India can become strong when Hindus are strong. When Hindu is weak, India is weak...," Singh said.

BJP MLA Surendra Singh had also come out in support of his party colleague Sadhana Singh, who raised a political storm by making derogatory remarks against BSP supremo Mayawati. While addressing a gathering, the BJP legislator from Mughalsarai humiliated Mayawati saying that she doesn't think the BSP supremo is either a woman or a man. According to news agency ANI, Singh added that the former UP chief minister sold her dignity in exchange of power.

"I don't think the former UP CM is a woman or a man. She doesn't understand the concept of dignity. Draupadi was a victim of sexual misconduct. She vowed to get revenge. That was a self-respecting woman. Look at this woman. She is a disgrace. I condemn her. Everything was looted from her, despite which she sold all her dignity to get power. She is a shame on the entire womankind. BJP leaders saved her dignity and she sold it for the sake of her comfort and power. Women from the entire country condemn her."
