After holding mega roadshow in Lucknow along with Congress president Rahul Gandhi, party, General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh (East) Priyanka Gandhi Vadra held a marathon meeting with party leaders from different Lok Sabha seats on Wednesday in Lucknow. After Congress workers meeting, the Congress workers were asked to fill in a feedback form. However, the feedback form asked the party respondents to fill in their 'caste' and 'sub-caste', besides details of their social media presence. 

The feedback form in Hindi begins with the entries for the name, father or husband's name, gender and age of the respondent, After this, spaces come in for 'caste (Jaati)' and sub-caste (Up-Jaati)' of the respondents, followed by education and occupation.

The form further seeks information of the party worker's social media availability including WhatsApp and Twitter.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday made a big decision ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections by charging Congress general secretaries Priyanka Gandhi and Jyotiraditya Scindia with the responsibility of ticket distribution for India's most electorally significant state - Uttar Pradesh.

Rahul Gandhi placed 41 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh under the charge of Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and 39 parliamentary segments under Jyotiraditya Scindia. Following this development,  Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Tuesday held daylong meetings with local Congress leaders and scores of party workers at the party office in Lucknow. She advised them to strengthen their respective booths.

Priyanka who reached Lucknow from Jaipur at around 1.30 pm on Tuesday and first met with the party workers from Unnao thereafter she met booth level workers and leaders who came from various other Parliamentary constituencies across the state particularly from eastern Uttar Pradesh.

 When asked about discussions at the meetings, she told reporters, “I'm learning a lot about the organisation, its structure and the changes that need to be made. I'm getting their (Congress workers) views on how to fight the election, according to them.” 

Earlier on Monday, Priyanka Gandhi and Scindia, along with Rahul Gandhi, held a grand roadshow in Lucknow, raising hopes of a turnaround in the party's fortunes.
