Congress President Rahul Gandhi is all set to kick-start Sankalp Yatra in Chitrakoot near Satna district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. Rahul Gandhi will visit Kamtanath Temple after which he will attend a corner meeting at Rajola.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi is all set to kick-start Sankalp Yatra in Chitrakoot near Satna district of Madhya Pradesh on Thursday. Rahul Gandhi will visit Kamtanath Temple after which he will attend a corner meeting at Rajola. 

Here's the complete travel program of Rahul Gandhi in Madhya Pradesh on September 27th, 2018: 

  • 11:30 AM: Visit Kamtanath Temple, District Satna
  • 12:00 PM: Corner Meeting at Rajola, Chitrakoot, District Satna 
  • 2:00 PM: Public Meeting at BTI Ground, Satna 
  • 5:00 PM: Welcome to District Rewa (Route: Jai Stambh Circle – Hospital Circle - Sirmour Circle) & Public Address at Sirmour Circle

Earlier on September 17, Rahul Gandhi blew the poll bugle in Madhya Pradesh and held a roadshow after taking blessings from priests. He also addressed his party workers later that day. Rahul Gandhi received a grand welcome at the airport by Madhya Pradesh Congress president Kamal Nath and senior party leader and Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia among others.

Posters and banners were put across the state that described the 48-year-old Congress chief as a 'Shiv bhakt.' Amid a heavy security cover, he launched the poll campaign in Madhya Pradesh where the BJP has been ruling for the last 15 years. The Congress President performed puja before his 15-km-long roadshow. Heavy security was deployed in the areas. Besides the regular police force, an additional 1,500 policemen were manning the streets of Bhopal.

Later in the evening, Rahul Gandhi addressed a meeting of Congress workers.

The Congress president recently returned from a pilgrimage to Kailash Mansarovar. As part of the pilgrimage, devotees undertake an arduous journey to Mount Kailash, which is considered the abode of Lord Shiva.
