Crucial DMK executive committee meeting LIVE UPDATES: MK Stalin likely to break silence over MK Alagiri's re-induction 

A day ahead of a key executive committee meeting of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), MK Alagiri who was expelled from the party four years ago, was seen at his father's grave.

A day ahead of a key executive committee meeting of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), MK Alagiri who was expelled from the party four years ago, was seen at his father's grave. 

"I have put forward my request to my father and he also is aware of my decision, you will not find out the same now, only time will tell, Thalivars blessings and wishes are with me and also the blessings and support of the people are with me", he said while addressing the media.

When asked whether it is his final decision, he said,"Yes it is. I told you that I have expressed my sentiments relating to the party with my Father".

Earlier, a day before MK Stalin who is likely to be made DMK Chief following Karunanidhi's demise, MK Stalin's brother MK Alagiri had stake claim to Kalaignar's legacy. After he visited Karunanidhi's memorial on Monday, he also added that he has the support of his father's loyalists. 

MK Alagiri supporters erect posters at his base in Madurai which says "Alagiri, General secretary of Kalaignar DMK party, Party & party flag ready! Let's meet in parliamentary elections"

In the same breath, sources have told Republic TV that MK Stalin has no plans to bring back MK Alagiri in the party again.

The Party has decided to elevate MK Stalin as President. The decision will be announced after the formal meeting. Meanwhile, MK Alagiri and MK Stalin are at Gopalapuram residence of Karunanidhi in Chennai.
