Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has launched a stunning Twitter attack on the Delhi L-G Anil Baijal over the recently announced CBSE Class XII board exam results.

A day after the results were announced, showing the overall pass percentage to have improved from 82% last year to 83%, and with Delhi emerging as one of the top three regions in the country in terms of pass percentage with 89% (behind only Trivandrum and Chennai), the Delhi Lieutenant-Governor took to the microblogging platform to congratulate the students.

He wrote:

"Heartiest congratulations to all our students of Class-XII & their parents for their outstanding performance. Sincere thanks to their teachers. Would advise to follow your dreams with sincerity, dedication & hardwork."

Immediately seizing on the opportunity, Arvind Kejriwal fired back with a startling attack.

The Delhi Chief Minister wrote:

"So u agree that Del govt doing great work in education? Who benefitted when u removed Atishi Marlena?"

Kejriwal was referring to the removal of the Delhi Education Minister Manish Sisodia's key advisor Atishi Marlena by the Delhi L-G last month -- one of the latest in the long stand-off between the AAP-led Delhi Government and the Delhi L-G that even extends back to the previous L-G Najeeb Jung.

Kejriwal intensified the attack, adding:

"If u stop creating obstacles, wonders cud be achieved in many sectors. It will make u also proud. Pl support our efforts. Lets be positve. Pl don’t create hurdles in everything."

Education has been one of the key focus areas for the Delhi Government, with the annual budgets allocating significantly increased outlays for the purpose.
