Dushyant Chautala likely to made Dy CM in new-BJP led Haryana govt:PTI

As per news agency PTI, Dushyant Chautala will be the Deputy Chief Minister in the BJP-led Haryana government.

After Haryana's fractured mandate kept BJP six seats away from an absolute majority on Thursday, JJP's Dushyant Chautala touted to be a kingmaker, reached at BJP president Amit Shah's residence on Friday evening. He has been accompanied by BJP's Anurag Thakur. As per news agency PTI, Dushyant Chautala will be the Deputy Chief Minister in the BJP-led Haryana government. The news agency reported that Chautala and BJP has finalised a deal, in which Chautala's demands were met BJP and he was given Deputy CM post. 

Dushyant Chautala keeps door open

Chautala on Friday, issued a press briefing after party's national executive meet and said that his party is open to allying with anyone who backs their manifesto issues. He said that party executives will now talk to Congress and BJP's concerned people and make the decisions. He also clarified that JJP will be an active participant in the alliance and will not support any party from outside.

Hooda accepts Dushyant's demand

Soon after Chautala's declaration, Congress' leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda responded to JJP, in yet another attempt to forming the upcoming Haryana government. Hooda, speaking to media, minutes after Dushyant Chautala's declaration that it will back any party that agrees to its demand, said that he has already agreed to the Common Minimum Program of JJP.

"I made it clear yesterday that I agree to a common minimum program. I already stated that I agree with his employment demand and increase in old-age pension. He is delaying the announcement is his wisdom but we have already said we agree to his demands," Hooda said.

JPP the kingmaker?

Just 10 months old Jannanayak Janta Party, that was formed under the aegis of Dushyant Chautala after family feud in INLD, became the third political force in Haryana's fractured mandate winning 10 seats. As the result came in on Thursday, both the BJP and Congress reportedly tried to rope in the new Chautala of Haryana in order to form the next government. There were also reports of Dushyant Chautala demanding Chief MInisterial berth. However, dismissing all speculations, the JJP leader said that decision will be taken after meeting party leaders and members on Friday.

Poll results in Haryana

The final results of the Haryana Assembly Elections saw seemingly invincible BJP winning 40 seats. While the Congress sort of made a comeback winning 31 seats. While the newly formed Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) under the leadership of Dushyant Chautala won 10 setas, others including Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP) candidate Gopal Kanda won 9 seats in the 90-seat assembly of the state.
