Here's KTR's reaction to the Republic-CVoter National Approval Rating for Telangana predicting a sweep for the TRS

On Thursday, Republic TV, in association with C-Voter, came up with the fourth edition of the National Approval Ratings (NAR), which aims to project how the Lok Sabha elections will pan out should they be held at the present time.

In Telangana, which has 17 Lok Sabha seats and is electorally a crucial juncture ahead of the polls - given it is one of the few states where neither of Congress-led UPA or BJP-led NDA are in power - it has been projected that the present ruling party, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS), will be a massive force, winning 16 seats.

Following this projection, working president of TRS and son of Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, KT Rama Rao, took to Twitter and expressed his delight over the fact that the Republic-CVoter was predicting his party's clean sweep.

It was projected in the NAR that in Telangana, which has 17 seats, TRS would win 16 of them while AIMIM, who was TRS' ally in the state election in 2018, would win the other seat. It further meant that the Congress and the BJP, the national parties, were left biting the dust.

National Approval Ratings: In Telangana, KCR's TRS Is Projected To Emerge Victorious Massively With 16 Seats, And None For NDA Or UPA

As far as the vote share is concerned, TRS is projected to soar high up with 42.4%, followed by UPA at 29%, NDA at 12.7% and AIMIM lagging with 7.7%. There has been no significant difference in the predictions of December and January, as TRS continues to politically dominate the state.

What the TRS' performance in Telangana also means that they would be a key player on the national level, given the NAR in January has suggested that neither of the UPA or NDA will come to power on its own.
