'Howdy Modi' event:Teenage prodigy Sparsh Shah to sing National Anthem

'Howdy, Modi!' event will feature teenage singing sensation Sparsh Shah, who mentioned that he was honoured to sing the Indian National Anthem at the event.

On Monday, teenage singing sensation Sparsh Shah remarked that he was humbled and honoured to sing the Indian National Anthem at the 'Howdy, Modi! Shared Dreams, Bright Futures' community event in Houston, Texas. He would sing the anthem in front of a 50,000 audience along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of United States of America Donald Trump. Shah thanked the Texas India Forum and Mela Productions for giving him this opportunity. He also mentioned that he would represent the Voice of Specially Abled People, a non-profit at the prestigious event hosted in the honour of PM Modi.

Sparsh Shah, the child prodigy 

Shah is a singer, songwriter, rapper and inspirational speaker residing in New Jersey, USA. He has already performed live more than 125 times including a performance at the Madison Square Garden and Berkley Centre. Furthermore, he has toured 6 countries, winning a plethora of awards including the ‘Global Indian Award’. Shah has been a part of shows like ‘Little Big Shots’ and ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. He has expressed his desire to win the Grammy award. A documentary named ‘Brittle Bone Rapper’ released in March 2018 focused on Shah’s life journey and his fight against osteogenesis imperfecta, a disease characterized by fragile bones that can break easily.

President Trump to attend the event

Earlier, the Press Secretary announced that US President Donald Trump would participate in the 'Howdy, Modi!' along with PM Modi. He mentioned the fact that it would be attended by tens of thousands of people. According to him, this was a great opportunity to emphasize the strong ties between people of US and India. The Press Secretary also stated that ways to deepen the energy and trade relationship would be discussed. Subsequently, PM Modi thanked President Trump’s “special gesture”. He said that this signified the special friendship between India and the US. He further remarked that he was looking forward to meeting the Indian origin community. PM Modi also opined that President Trump joining the 'Howdy, Modi!' programme was a recognition of the contribution of the Indian community to American society and economy.
