In a massive boost to fostering good relations between KCR and the incoming Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy,  the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao, on Thursday, has said that the young leader must continue as Chief Minister for 3-4 terms. He also added that Reddy must understand that only mutual cooperation between the two Telugu states will help in the development of their respective states while addressing the huge crowd at Reddy's swearing-in ceremony at Vijayawada.

The newly sworn-in Andhra Chief Minister too had echoed a similar sentiment in his speech after the official ceremony.

Earlier in the day, YSR Congress Party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy sworn-in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh at 12:23 PM on May 30 after sweeping the state with an overwhelming public mandate in the presence of over 40,000 supporters at Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada.

During the ceremony, an overwhelmed Reddy had said it was an honour to step into his father shoes, late YS Rajasekhara Reddy and former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh who died in a helicopter crash in 2009.

The ceremony was attended by Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, DMK chief M K Stalin, and Puducherry Health Minister Malladi Krishna Rao as special guests. Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali, Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivasa Reddy, minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav also attended the swearing-in ceremony.

After the ceremony, Reddy was congratulated by Prime Minister-elect Modi who extended his wishes to the YSR Congress Party president assuring full co-operation from the Centre to Andhra Pradesh.

Reddy was also wished by President Ram Nath Kovind who wished him the best and hoped he would take Andhra Pradesh to new heights of development.

Unfortunately, KCR and Reddy who were scheduled to attend the Prime Minister-elect's swearing-in Ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhawan at 7 PM would be unable to do so after denial of permission to land their chartered flight in Delhi.
