National Approval Ratings: In Haryana, NDA projected to race ahead leaving UPA behind by 4 seat margin

With the Lok Sabha elections 2019 inching closer, Republic TV and CVoter are back to give a complete picture as to who will win if polls are held in December.

With the Lok Sabha elections 2019 inching closer, Republic and CVoter are back with the National Approval Ratings to give a complete picture as to who will win if polls are held today in the state of Haryana. The wonderland of vibrant culture, Haryana has a total of 10 seats in its kitty and the numbers coming in are super interesting. 

PROJECTIONS: 

  • NDA continues to have a muscular hold by gaining 7 out of 10 in Haryana. 
  • Congress projected to grab 3 seats

UPA: 3 seats

NDA: 7 seats

Others: 0 seats

  • Vote Share:

UPA: 33.4%

NDA: 43.7%

INLD: 19.2%

Total:  3.6%

  • While the BJP has maintained its hold from 2014 to 2018 projections, Congress’ gain of 2 seats has not come at the behest of the BJP's seat tally but instead has come from the INLD
  • What is most impressive for the BJP in Haryana is the fact that it is projected to take its vote share of 40.9% from 2014 to a 43.7% thereby resulting in a 2.8% increase despite battling incumbency in both state and centre

2018 has been a blockbuster year so far as far as the political landscape of India is concerned. With the countdown to the all-important 2019 Lok Sabha polls on, and with the results out for the critical assembly elections in five states, December may just be the most important month in terms of deciding who will come up trumps in the general elections.
