Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, Republic TV, in association with CVoter, has released the National Approval Ratings to get a snapshot of the mood of the nation and answer the question: What would happen if results were held today?

In Manipur, there are two seats up for grabs

Vote share

In a neck to neck fight between BJP and Congress, there is a difference of only 1.5% vote share between the two parties. BJP is set to gain 41.6% of vote-share, followed by Congress at 40.1% and 18.3%, changing the vote swing in their favour

Back in 2014, 46.1% seat share was gained by Congress, leaving BJP behind with 31.8% and 22.1% for Others.

Seat-share

Out of the 2 seats up for grabs, BJP is projected to gain both the seats, with none for Congress and Others.  Back in 2014, the votes swung in the direction of Congress as the party won both the seats.

Looking at the BJP,  the vote share has increased by 3.6% when compared to the last month's projection, while the Congress has improved its vote share by 8.5% when compared to the last month's National Approval Ratings/
