Omar Abdullah tells Hema Malini to practice her broom-work, says her technique in Parliament Swachhata drive won't contribute anything

He commented on the video where the lawmakers including Mathura MP Hema Malini are seen sweeping in the premises of the Parliament.

The tweet by news agency ANI shows lawmakers like Hema Malini, Union Minister Anurag Thakur sweeping in the Parliament premises for the cleanliness drive.

Seeing the video, Abdullah said that the Parliament being clean during the sessions does not need any work done. He also mocked Hema Malini suggesting that she is not used to this kind of work and that she must practice sweeping before turning up for a photo-op.

The three-time MP from Mathura, however, was determined to take up the cleanliness drive even in her constituency. She said that it was commendable of the Speaker Om Birla for taking the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan initiative. "It is highly appreciable that the Speaker of the House took initiative to carry out 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' on the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, in Parliament premises. I will go back to Mathura next week and carry out this Abhiyan there as well," she said.
