PM Modi lists specific praise for Nitin Gadkari in his birthday wish, here's what he wrote

On May 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished Nitin Gadkari on his 62nd birthday. Gadkari has served as the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways in the first Modi government.

On May 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished Nitin Gadkari on his 62nd birthday. Gadkari has served as the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways in the first Modi government.

Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister sent his best wishes for his colleague on his birthday. He also said that Gadkari was 'a good organiser'. Nitin Gadkari was BJP chief from 2009-2013. He also added that his works strengthened the party at the grassroots level. He also applauded him as an effective minister. 

Gadkari became the youngest president of the BJP in 2009. A longtime RSS member, he had served as a minister in a coalition government in Maharashtra and as President of the BJP youth wing. He had strong support from the RSS leadership. Gadkari resigned in 2013 after a scandal related to his time as a minister and other allegations of financial impropriety.

In the recent Lok Sabha elections 2019, Union Minister Gadkari won against former BJP leader and Congress candidate Nana Patole by a margin of 2,16,009 votes.

The predecessor of Gadkari and Home Minister Rajnath Singh also wished him on his day. He said that Gadkari is an able administrator and added that he has played an important role in transforming India's infrastructure.
