All eyes on the BJP

Manohar Lal Khattar, the first BJP CM of the state, is confident of winning the assembly elections to be held in October. BJP seems to be in a comfortable position as the opposition is currently in the state of crisis. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), the main opposition in the state has been dismembered as most of the party leaders have joined the BJP. Congress has also suffered a setback in the state as the party's woman unit chief, Sumitra Chouhan has also resigned and joined the BJP. Chouhan criticised the Congress heavily, following their reaction on triple talaq and the abrogation of Article 370.
