Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to address a rally in Haryana on September 8. In lieu of the upcoming assembly elections in the state, PM Modi is prepared to talk to the people of Rohtak. It is anticipated that the Prime Minister will talk about the several developmental projects taking place in Rohtak. He is touted to lay a foundation for the upcoming tasks to be taken by the government. The officials have notified that the PM will speak on Shri Sheetla Mata Devi Medical College in Gurugram, a mega food park, the industrial model township in Rohtak and the Integrated Command and Control Center in Karnal.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Union Agricultural Minister Narendra Singh Tomar are going to attend the rally in Rohtak. Special arrangements are to be made to promote environmental awareness in PM Modi's rally which is said to push the agenda of a cleaner, healthier state. Earlier, the PM on several accounts has urged the citizens of India to promote pristine living. On the occasion of Independence Day, the PM had stated that shopkeepers should use environmentally friendly bags. This would as a consequence help the citizens to eliminate the use of plastic which is harmful to the environment.
Manohar Lal Khattar, the first BJP CM of the state, is confident of winning the assembly elections to be held in October. BJP seems to be in a comfortable position as the opposition is currently in the state of crisis. The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), the main opposition in the state has been dismembered as most of the party leaders have joined the BJP. Congress has also suffered a setback in the state as the party's woman unit chief, Sumitra Chouhan has also resigned and joined the BJP. Chouhan criticised the Congress heavily, following their reaction on triple talaq and the abrogation of Article 370.
