In a surprising turn of events, Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Dharampal Singh found himself at the centre of a peculiar incident at Lucknow Railway Station, on Wednesday. Scheduled to catch a train to Bareilly, the minister's journey took an attention-grabbing twist.

The incident unfolded on a rainy Wednesday morning when Minister Dharampal Singh was en route to board the Howrah-Amritsar Express from Lucknow to Bareilly. However, the heavy downpour and ensuing traffic congestion delayed his arrival at the station.

As the Minister's car approached Lucknow's Charbagh railway station, which serves as a major hub for train departures, it bypassed the usual station entrance and instead manoeuvred its way onto the platform itself. Unconventionally, the minister's vehicle made use of the station's wheelchair ramp to access the platform. Eyewitnesses were left astonished as the minister's car parked near an escalator.

The incident triggered a flurry of reactions among commuters and onlookers present at the station. Some speculated that the minister's decision to drive onto the platform was influenced by the adverse weather conditions, while others questioned the appropriateness of such a move.

UP Minister Dharampal Singh later clarified that the sudden decision was prompted by the heavy rain and the resultant delay his journey had experienced. He emphasized that his car did not enter the platform, and was parked near the escalator solely due to the challenging weather conditions and time constraints.
