Hours after Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu skipped the cabinet review meeting of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, he went Live on social networking site Facebook to defend himself and said that he was signaled out without any reason.

Deepening the rift between Navjot Singh Sidhu and Captain Amarinder Singh, in the video posted on his Facebook, Sidhu said:

"I have been singled out despite it being a collective responsibility. I was singled out, my department was singled out. They must have a sense of perspective to see things in perspective. Urban seats had a pivotal role in Congress party's win in Lok Sabha elections in the state. Chief Minister gave me responsibility of two districts in Punjab. We won big in these two districts. These facts were ignored. I can’t be taken for granted, I’ve been a performer throughout. I’ve performed on the field, as a commentator, on tv shows and even in electoral politics. I will defend my name and self-respect very fiercely"

Sidhu was ominously absent in a cabinet review meeting of the Punjab Government on Thursday.  Earlier in the day, visuals showed that Sidhu who is the Minister of Local government, Tourism, Cultural Affairs and Museums in the ruling Punjab government, was absent from cabinet proceedings which were chaired by Captain Amarinder Singh.

Sidhu has been at loggerheads with the Punjab Chief Minister after he denied Sidhu's wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu a ticket for the Lok Sabha elections. Accusing the CM of disrespecting women, Sidhu's wife had called the Punjab chief minister 'Junior Captain'.

"I was denied ticket after our CM sa'ab & Asha Ji had specifically said that I can't win from Amritsar. My message was Captain sa'ab should respect women. You talk of women reservation, then consider them. When educated leaders like me, ready to serve others come, it's decent to tell us that someone's better so it's being done but don't deny our tickets by lying," she said. Following this, Sidhu had stood by his wife attacking the CM in a veiled attack one day before the polls saying that 'a vote cannot be underestimated and it should be used to blast those who are colluding to backstab the Congress.

SHOCKING: Navjot Sidhu's Pakistan friend Gopal Chawla raises pro-Khalistan slogans, uses filthy and abusive language against former PM Indira Gandhi

Earlier in the day, in a shocking incident on the 35th anniversary of Operation Blue Star, Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu's friend Gopal Singh Chawla raised pro-Khalistan slogans.

In the visuals, the right-hand man of global terrorist and 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed can be seen using filthy and abusive language against former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. In the video, he says that he will kill others like they killed Indira Gandhi and make Khalistan a reality. He adds that Jammu and Kashmir will be taken away from India. He calls India's government as one who commits atrocities and raises slogans in favour of Khalistani leader Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.
