Mevani's retort comes almost 30 hours after PM Modi issued his challenge to Rahul Gandhi while addressing a campaign rally in Mysuru. The Congress president's Twitter handle, normally quick to tweet attacks, has been silent since 10:23 am on Tuesday.

Jignesh Mevani has attempted to shield Rahul Gandhi over the Prime Minister's challenge to the Congress president to speak for 15 minutes about his government's achievements in Karnataka without referring to any papers.

Taking to Twitter, the independent MLA from Gujarat's Vadgam has issued a counter-challenge to PM Modi.

He's written:

"It's my challenge to Mr. Modi- can he continuosly speak for just four minutes as to what he has done on the following four issues in last four years : (1) 2 crore jobs, (2) farmers commiting suicide, (3) attacks on dalits , minorities and women(4) inflation..."

Mevani's retort comes almost 30 hours after PM Modi issued his challenge to Rahul Gandhi while addressing a campaign rally in Mysuru. The Congress president's Twitter handle, normally quick to tweet attacks, has been silent since 10:23 am on Tuesday.
