Two women officials were booked for allegedly facilitating the rape of a 15-year-old by taking her out of the juvenile home at Haldwani in Uttarakhand's Nainital.
Cops at Haldwani Police booked the women — Deepa and Ganga — after Child Welfare Committee member Ravindra Rautela filed a complaint against them under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The suvivor too narrate her ordeal to the Child Welfare Committee.

Speaking about the incident on social media, Rekha Arya, Minister of Child and Women Development, assured, "There will be no tolerance for negligence in a government that advocates zero tolerance." She also said that swift action would be taken in the case.
Adding further she said one of the accused was immediately suspended while the other suspect posted through the Home Guard Department at the Women's Welfare and Rehabilitation Center in Haldwani, was immediately sent back to the department.

Arya asserted that an 'impartial' committee has been set up for a specialised department investigation. Further probe is underway.
