The ban has been imposed for two-wheeler vehicles from usage of the access-controlled road that connects Tumkur and Hosur Road.
The reason behind this ban is to control the rising accidents, especially among two-wheelers.
In a statement, the Joint Commissioner (Traffic), Bengaluru MN Anucheth said, “The Bengaluru traffic police will deploy four portable speed laser guns at various locations and times on NICE Road to enforce the speed limits and catch violators.”
Commissioner Dayanand said, “Previous measures, such as caution boards, had been ineffective in reducing accidents. Therefore, we decided to cap the speed limit.”
