Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express: The ticket cost for the train from Jalandhar Cantt is Rs 1095.

New Delhi: Amritsar-Delhi Vande Bharat Express train will begin its regular operations on Jan 6, Saturday.  The Vande Bharat Express train with the numbers 22488/22487, connecting Amritsar and Delhi, is scheduled to operate six days a week, excluding Fridays. Throughout its route, the train will make stops at Beas, Jalandhar Cantt, Phagwara, Ludhiana, Sahnewal, and Ambala Junction. 

The ticket cost for the train from Jalandhar Cantt is Rs 1095, slightly more expensive than the Shatabdi Express. The journey to Delhi on this train takes approximately 5 hours.

The train was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually on December 30 from Ayodhya. Amritsar MP Gurjeet Singh Aujla, who was also present on this occasion, said the introduction of the Vande Bharat train from here will facilitate various categories of people, including businessmen and traders. 

According to the railway timetable, the Vande Bharat Express will depart from Amritsar at 8:05 am and is slated to reach Delhi by 1:30 pm. During its journey, the train will make brief stops at Beas, Jalandhar City, Phagwara, Ludhiana, and Ambala.

The return trip from Delhi will begin at 3:15 pm, with halts at Ambala, Ludhiana, Phagwara, Jalandhar, and Beas, ultimately reaching Amritsar by 8:40 pm. The train is scheduled to observe a quick 2-minute halt at each station.
