New Delhi: Muslim Rashtriya Manch National Convenor Shalini Ali on Monday asserted that all communities across India should celebrate Diwali on January 22, when the consecration ceremony of Ram temple will be held.  Ali opined that the politics around the Ram Temple is unfortunate and that Lord Ram is within every Indian .

“I say Jai Shri Ram with pride. We are all one. What is the problem in chanting Ram’s name? It’s an important development for our country. We should get together and celebrate on January 22,” Ali told Republic.

This comes after RSS national executive member Indresh Kumar had called upon all minority communities to participate and celebrate together the grand event at Ayodhya together.

The MRM National Convenor also underlined that both Hindu and Muslims have same ancestors. “We all are Hindustanis. Our forefathers are same. Our DNAs are same. Many got converted over the years. However, that doesn’t change our lineage,” she added.

In a bid to send out a strong message of unity in diversity, National Executive Member of the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh (RSS) Indresh Kumar on Sunday urged the Muslim community across the country to chant “Jai Shri Ram” from mosques on the day of Ram Mandir's inauguration.

Kumar, addressing an event in the national capital, said that DNA of Hindus and Muslims are not different, asserting that ancestors of both communities are same.

“More than 99 per cent of minorities (Muslims and Christians) in India belong to Hindustan. They didn't come from any other country. You can change your region but not your forefathers. Our DNA our identify is Hindustani. We have common ancestors,” he said.

“As I represent Muslim Rashtriya Manch, I urge Muslims of the country to chant "Shree Ram Jai Ram Jai Jai Ram" once or 11 times from mosques on January 22. Every Indian of the country, irrespective of religion he or she belongs to, must light a diya on the day of consecration ceremony,” he added.

The Muslim Rashtriya Manch plans to march to Ayodhya, spreading the message that Ram is omnipresent.
