Bailable Sections In FIR, Karan Bhushan Singh Missing: Lapses In Hit-And-Run Case That Killed 2

After a case was filed at the Colonelganj police station, BJP MP candidate Karan's name was missing from the FIR.

Gonda: Glaring lapses have emerged after BJP MP candidate from Kaiserganj Karan Bhushan Singh's convoy hit a motorcycle on Wednesday morning, causing two deaths on the spot and leaving two injured in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda. After a case was filed at the Colonelganj police station, Karan's name was missing from the FIR. One of the victims was minor, aged 17 and the other was 24. Our sources further revealed that Karan Bhushan Singh was present in the first car of the fleet but didn't stop even after the accident.

According to our sources, Karan had left his residence in the same convoy earlier today. Karan was present in the convoy at the time of the accident, confirmed our sources. Speaking to reporters, one of the victim's uncle also claimed that it was six-time MP Brij Bhushan Singh's son Karan's convoy. However, the police doesn't make any mention of Karan's presence at the spot. When confronted, the police passed the buck, saying that the investigation is underway.

In another lapse, in the FIR copy, accessed by Republic, only bailable sections have been attached so far. A case has been filed under Sections 279, 304-A and 427 of the IPC and Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. The car driver is presently in police custody. The driver had fled from the scene after hitting the motorcycle at around 9 am that led to the death of two youths. The Fortuner car hit an electric pole. In fact, the car was registered Nandini Educational Institute, which is linked to Karan's father Brij Bhushan, as per RTO records. The convoy breezed past the accident site and didn't stop, according to locals present at the spot. The driver was later captured.

On the presence of Karan in the high profile hit-and-run case, the local police has remained tight-lipped so far. According to the police, the evidence is being collected. Apart from this, the police doesn't mention anything about Karan's presence in the convoy.
