Bengaluru: The life of a 22-year-old woman from Bihar ended miserably after a man killed her in a gruesome manner at her paying guest accommodation in Bengaluru on the night of July 23. The accused identified as Abhishek has been arrested in the case. His arrest was made from Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal as the accused right after committing the crime fled from the spot.

Tensions Were Brewing Between Accused and Victim 

Things turned sour when the accused Abhishek started facing unemployment issues and always got into a heated argument in this regard with a girl who was the deceased victim's roommate. The girl has been believed to be the girlfriend of the accused. According to reports, the accused felt that his girlfriend’s mind was being brainwashed by Kriti Kumari. 

Kriti Kumari Advised Accused’s Girlfriend To Maintain Distance 

The deceased Kriti Kumari, was urging her roommate to maintain distance from Abhishek. As per reports, she was getting involved in the matters of accused and his girlfriend which made matters worse for both. 

Kriti helped Her Roommate Shift to New Accommodation 

The accused girlfriend changed her paying guest accommodation with the help of Kriti. This did not go well with Abhishek and he started feeling that Kriti is creating tensions between him and his girlfriend, reports mentioned. 

Both Stopped taking Calls of Abhishek 

After shifting to her new accommodation, the girlfriend of the accused stopped taking calls from Abhishek. Even calls to Kriti went unanswered which infuriated the accused. 

Abhishek Had Created Ruckus 

As per reports, days before victim’s roommate was about to change her accommodation, the accused visited their PG and started creating ruckus over their strained relationship. 

What Happened on Night of July 23 

Abhishek had sneaked into the PG accommodation and killed Kriti Kumari from Bihar. According to the video which had surfaced, the man is seen walking into the corridor of the paying guest accommodation holding a polythene bag. He then knocks on the door and, later, drags a woman out. The victim resists the attack, but is soon overpowered by the murderer, who slits her throat and runs away.

Upon hearing the loud noise, other women in the building rush to the spot, but could not save her.

Kriti Kumari was working in a private firm in the city.
