Bengaluru had a water problem because half of its 14,000 public borewells had no water. The BWSSB implemented quick measures to help with the decreasing groundwater, which is important for the city's water. Actions included conserving potable water, fixing leaks in pipelines, and encouraging the use of treated water for non-drinking purposes.
