Breaking: Prajwal Revanna’s Brother Suraj Taken to Police Station on Accusation of Unnatural Sex

Hassan: After former Hassan Member of Parliament Prajwal Revanna’s alleged involvement in a sex scandal, his brother JD(S) MLC Suraj Revanna has been taken to the Hassan Police Station. 

Suraj Revanna, a JDS MLC faces FIR over complaint of 'unnatural sex'. The police have taken him into custody and interrogated him on the allegations. He is likely to be arrested after interrogation. 

An FIR was filed by Karnataka Police over complaint filed by a man who alleged 'unnatural sex', murder attempt and intimidation.

In a major embarrassment to the Revanna family, Suraj Revanna, on Friday, was accused of unnatural sex with a JD(S) worker Chethan (based at Arkalgud in Hassan district). In the complaint, Shivkumar, an aide of Suraj Revanna, accused Chethan of allegedly threatening to file a sexual assault case against Suraj if he didn't pay Rs 5 crore. 

As per the FIR, a youth approached the complainant, Shivkumar, seeking a job. Shivkumar gave him Suraj Revanna's number and asked him to contact Suraj.

On June 16, the youth went to the Gannikoda farmhouse to ask Suraj for work. Later, he began blackmailing Shivkumar and Suraj, claiming that neither had given him a job and that he needed money.

The youth threatened to file a sexual assault case against Suraj if he did not receive Rs 5 crore.

Shivkumar informed Suraj, who pointed out that many people, including the police, were present when the youth came asking for a job, so there was no reason to pay him.

On June 18, the youth obtained a medical-legal certificate (MLC) from a hospital and issued fresh threats, demanding Rs 3 crore, and eventually asking for Rs 2.5 crore, or he would file a case.

A case has been registered at the Holenarasipura Town Police Station against Chethan and his brother-in-law under IPC sections 384, 506, and 34.
