Lakhisarai: At least 9 have been killed and six others sustained injuries after an autorickshaw collided with a truck in Bihar's Lakhisarai.

As per media reports, the accident took place on the Lakhisarai-Sikandra road and the police said that the auto was heading towards Sikandra.

The injured have been reported to be in serious condition as the accident was so intense that it left the auto in a mangled accident.

Upon receiving the information of the road accident, police personnel rushed to the spot and sent the injured to a nearby hospital.

The identities of the deceased and injured are still being ascertained.

An investigation is underway into the matter.
