3 Bengaluru Colleges on ALERT After Receiving Bomb Threat

Bengaluru: Three prestigious colleges in Bengaluru received bomb threats via email on Friday. The institutions affected include BMS College, MS Ramaiah College, and BIT College, located in Sadashivanagar, Hanumantha Nagar, and Basavanagudi, respectively.

Police teams and bomb disposal squads have been rushed to the scene to conduct thorough inspections of the campuses. Authorities have been closely monitoring the situation, with security checks ongoing for the past half hour as they work to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Speaking to reporters, Lokesh, Deputy Commissioner of Police, South, said, "A bomb threat was received by BIT, BMSCE, MSRIT. Bomb disposal squads and related squads are on the job to verify the claim. A case has been lodged in Hanumanth Nagar Police Station and Sadashivanagar Police Station to trace the source."
