Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge Faints on Stage During Kathua Rally in J&K

Kathua: Ahead of the third phase of polling for the Jammu and Kashmir Elections 2024, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, who was addressing a rally in Jammu's Kathua district, fell unconscious during the rally; a video has surfaced on the internet.

Mallikarjun Kharge, the 83-year-old Congress President was addressing a rally in the Kathua district of Jammu when he suddenly fell unconscious. A video has surfaced in which it can be seen how the senior Congress leader's voice kept lowering and he suddenly lost his balance.

However, other leaders on stage immediately rushed to him and helped him stand, gave him water after which he resumed his rally. A team of doctors and an ambulance were present at the rally to tend to the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha.

‘I Am Not Going to Die So Early…’: Kharge After Losing Consciousness

After regaining consciousness, Mallikarjun Kharge went on to say to his party supporters, "We will fight to restore statehood...I am 83 years old, I am not going to die so early. I will stay alive till PM Modi is removed from power..."

The third phase of the Jammu and Kashmir Elections 2024 is scheduled to take place on October 1; the first two phases have already been held.
