Instagram Down! Meta App Faces Outage, Users Vent Frustration on X

New Delhi: Meta's Instagram, a popular photo-sharing platform, is experiencing a major outage affecting users nationwide. As per Downdetector, the outage started in India at approximately 8:58 am local time on Thursday. 

The service's map shows that most problems are focused in major cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, Lucknow, Nagpur, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. These disruptions have affected many users, leading to significant frustration.

In reaction to the outage, annoyed users swiftly turned to social media, particularly X (formerly known as Twitter), to air their complaints. They injected humor into their posts, sharing memes to lighten the mood while expressing frustration.

Numerous users vented out issues such as inability to view photos and profile pictures on Instagram, underscoring the widespread impact of the disruption.
