His arrest follows the capture of Fahim Khan, identified as the mastermind behind the violence. Both Engineer and Khan are affiliated with the Minority Democratic Party.

Police investigations suggest that several party members played a suspicious role in the clashes, pointing to a well-planned conspiracy.

Nagpur police and the cyber cell are continuing their investigation to identify the culprits and are strictly monitoring the social media activities of those who make inflammatory statements.

So far, 13 FIRs have been filed in connection with the violence, and around 100 accused have been arrested.

The curfew will be reviewed after officers submit their field reports today.

Nagpur Violence:

Nagpur witnessed violent clashes on March 17 after a rumor was spread that a religious book was burned during protests demanding the removal of Aurangzeb's tomb. The incident occurred in Chitnis Park and Mahal areas.

Rumors said that a copy of the Quran was burned during the protest, and members of the pro-Aurangzeb group started gathering in large numbers in various parts of the city, including Mahal, Kotwali, Ganeshpeth, and Chitnis Park. They pelted stones, attacked the police, assaulted women police officers, and burned many vehicles. More than 30 police officials suffered injuries. In response, the cops fired tear gas in an attempt to disperse the gathered crowds.
