Nearly 40 Killed by Lightning Strikes as Heavy Rain Batters UP

Lucknow: As many as 38 people were across Uttar Pradesh in separate incidents of lightning strikes, as per reports.

The deaths have been reported as the state continues to grapple with the situation of flooding, bringing normal life to a standstill.

Among these 38 fatalities, 11 were reported from Pratapgarh, where the most number of deaths were reported. Furthermore, seven were reported from Sultanpur, six in Chandauli, five in Mainpuri and four from Prayagraj.
