New Delhi: A private helicopter flying from Mumbai to Hyderabad crashed near Paud village in Pune district on Saturday. All four occupants survived the crash that took place near Paud, though they may have suffered injuries. "The captain of the helicopter is being taken to hospital, while the other three are stable. The helicopter belongs to Global Vectra company. The cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained," SP Pankaj Deshmukh, Pune Rural Police informed.

Earlier in May, a private helicopter scheduled to pick up Shiv Sena Deputy Leader Sushma Andhare crashed upon landing. The pilot managed to escape the crash by jumping from the aircraft and survived.

Nepal Helicopter Crash Claims Five Lives

On August 7, a helicopter crashed in the mountains northwest of Kathmandu, Nepal. All five people on board, including four men and one woman, were killed in the accident. Krishna Prasad Humagai, the government administrator of Nuwakot district, confirmed that the bodies of the deceased were recovered from the wreckage.
