Dombivli: At least 9 died and over 40 were injured on Thursday after a massive blast in the boiler of a chemical company in the Dombivli area of the Thane district in Maharashtra. The video of the horrific incident shows thick plumes of smoke and fire engulfing the factory premises and adjacent buildings. The intensity of the explosion caused severe damage, with cracks appearing on glass windows and houses in the area bearing the brunt of the impact.Immediate response teams, including firefighters and disaster management units, rushed to the scene to contain the blaze and rescue those trapped in the debris.

Maharashtra Deputy CM Expresses Condolences 

Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, expressed condolences and assured swift action to support the injured and manage the situation.

“Arrangements have been made to treat the injured and more ambulances have been kept ready. I have discussed with the Thane collector and they are also reaching the spot… Teams of NDRF, TDRF, and fire brigade have been called,” he wrote on X.

Efforts are underway to treat the injured and bring the fire under control, with additional reinforcements mobilized to aid in the rescue operation.
