Gonda: The hit-and-run incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda that claimed two lives and injured two others involved an SUV which was a part of convoy of Karan Bhuhan, BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Kaiserganj and son of MP Brij Bhushan, victims’ kin has alleged.

The victim’s kin has demanded justice, seeking a probe into the matter.

According to sources, the driver of the SUV has been taken into custody. The vehicle has been seized by police.

It is being investigated whether Karan Bhushan was present inside the SUV at the time of the incident. Based on a complaint, a case has been registered at colonelganj police station.

The uncle of the deceased boys said that the car overtook and killed the duo.

Faman, the uncle of the deceased boys who were killed by the SUV, claimed that the vehicle was a part of convoy Karan Bhushan.

He said soon after the accident they ran to the spot and took the duo to hospital but they could not save them.

“The car overtook and killed our children. We have lost our children. The convoy was of Karan Bhushan. We got to know that it was netaji's car,” he added.
