Thiruvananthapuram: A British F-35 fighter jet made an emergency landing at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on Saturday night after it ran low on fuel, according to sources.

The incident happened around 9:30 pm. The jet is believed to have taken off from a British aircraft carrier and was flying over the region when it experienced a fuel shortage.

As soon as the situation was reported, airport authorities declared an emergency to ensure the aircraft could land safely. The pilot managed to bring the jet down without any damage or injury.

Officials have not yet given an official statement about the jet’s route or next steps. The British authorities are expected to coordinate further action.
