45-Year-Old Man Murdered in Uttar Pradesh's Benipur
A resident of Kadergaon in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi police station area, was allegedly killed near the Benipur.
Amethi: A resident of Kadergaon in Uttar Pradesh's Amethi police station area was allegedly killed near the Benipur. The incident took place near the Benipur canal on the Amethi-Sultanpur Road.
The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Ajay Singh. Superintendent of Police Anup Kumar Singh said Ajay, was travelling to Kadergaon on a motorcycle with his friend Saurabh late on Friday. During this time, two people, including one Monu Pasi, attacked him. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Ajay succumbed to his injuries.
Ajay Singh was the sibling of Pawan Singh, the village head of Kadergaon. Singh said initial investigations revealed that the attackers had a prior dispute with Ajay Singh. Police have registered a case and are actively searching for the assailants.
A case has been filed and a search is underway for the attackers, he added.
Man Murders Family Uttar Pradesh
On 11 May, a 45-year-old businessman in Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh, reportedly killed his mother, wife, and three minor children before taking his own life. Anurag Singh, according to police was intellectually challenged and battling an addiction, allegedly committed the crime at his residence in Palapur village.
Sitapur Superintendent of Police Chakresh Mishra said that police received information about the incident and found the bodies of two minor children outside the house, with others found inside. According to the initial investigation, two victims had gunshot wounds, while the others appeared to have injuries from a blunt object.
The deceased were identified as Anurag's mother Savitri Devi (60), wife Priyanka Devi (40), and children aged 12, nine, and six.
“There are several unanswered questions that will be clarified after the inquiry,” Sitapur Additional Superintendent of Police Pravin Ranjan Singh said. “The cause of death can only be ascertained after obtaining the postmortem report,” he added.
A preliminary inquiry revealed that Singh used to stay in the village while his family stayed in Lucknow. Two days ago, Singh brought his wife and children to Sitapur from Lucknow. Locals said that the family wanted to take Singh to a de-addiction center and he was against this.
