Noida: A distressing incident from Gautam Buddh Nagar came to light where a man and his sister were assaulted in Noida by a group of men after an argument in Bhangel market on Monday, June 11.

The argument broke out first between two men over an unknown petty issue. Following this, the man's sister tried intervening and stopping the fight, but instead, she was thrashed by another man and his friends.

As the situation worsened, the police were called by the group and continued to thrash the siblings in their presence.

Police said that the woman alleged that her clothes were also torn in the fight. Furthermore, in her complaint, the woman claimed that her physically challenged brother was also beaten with sticks.

The victim was identified as Rajat who sustained serious injuries, while his sister had injuries on her face, as per media reports.

A case has been registered in the incident and an investigation is underway.

In 2017, a 26-year-old man was beaten by three men after he resisted their attempts to molest his sister and niece in the Jaitpur area of Greater Noida.
